Two Hotels in One Resort – Reimagined Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Perfect for Value-Minded Travelers

December 21, 2015 (Lake Buena Vista, FL) There’s a spectacular new look and feel in the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista located in the Disney SpringsResort Area, including the introduction of the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista.

“For the value-minded vacationer, we now offer the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista featuring spacious rooms and access to all the amenities that our guests have come to expect in our adjacent Skyview tower,” said General Manager Jay Leonard.

The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista includes 394 guestroom accommodations comprising 330 rooms with two double beds and 64 rooms with one king bed.

Corporate travelers, groups and associations will appreciate the 25,000 square feet of function space, the 12,000-square-foot ballroom and 21 function rooms.

The 19-story Wyndham Lake Buena Vista tower features 232 guestroom accommodations, including seven parlor suites, 42 rooms with one king bed and 183 rooms with two queen beds.

The two Wyndham properties are Official Walt Disney World® Hotels, located in the Walt Disney World® Resort. As such, continuous shuttle service to all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks is available. A Disney Character Breakfast is featured three days a week, and an on-site Disney Store is offered for those seeking souvenirs. Walt Disney World® Theme Park admissions can be purchased online through the hotel website or by visiting the Guest Services Desk in the tower lobby.

Guests of both hotels have plenty of activities to enjoy at the resort. The Oasis Aquatic Pool Playground features two pools with many interactive water attractions for children, a hot tub and an abundant amount of space to stretch out in the Florida sun. The Oasis Bar & Grill, located poolside, is perfect for cooling off and refueling for the next adventure. The resort also offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, along with tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts.

As part of the recently announced multimillion-dollar renovation, a lake house retreat concept ties together the tower’s redesign, led by global hospitality design firm The Gettys Group. The lobby space is reenergized with a fresh, neutral color palette accented with vibrant turquoise and pops of chartreuse. Distressed wood paneling, white granite, custom wood screens and bead board paneling are a few of the finish details that are now incorporated into the lobby. The concept extends throughout the public spaces – from Sundial Café to the Eclipse Lobby Lounge to the Lakeview Restaurant.

The textures and patterns selected for the tower guest rooms and suites are reminiscent of those found in nature. Custom case goods and lighting, plush seating in neutral-toned upholstery fabrics, luxurious pillow-top bedding and modern bathroom fixtures are all just part of the numerous upgrades to the hotel.

The Wyndham hotels are adjacent to Lake Buena Vista and have gorgeous water views. The guest rooms and suites in the Wyndham Skyview Tower offer guests a true sanctuary with generously appointed accommodations and all of the amenities that could be found in a central Florida vacation lake house.

Additional Q and A With General Manager Jay Leonard

The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista located in the Disney Springs™ Resort Area has announced a spectacular $10 Million Renovation. The result is an entirely new look and feel within the upscale 19-story Sky view Tower, and grand opening of a new hotel offering, the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista for the value-minded traveler.

General Manager Jay Leonard guided the process from conception to completion and speaks here about the redesign, which now features two distinct hotels at the same resort.

Jay, whether visiting Central Florida for vacation or business travel, could you or your guests ask for a better location?

“It is the best location you could have at any resort in the Orlando area. We are right across from Disney Springs™which is Disney’s newest reimagined destination. Some people will remember it as Downtown Disney, and people who really go back in time, will recall it as the Walt Disney World Village.”

You can actually walk across the street from the Wyndham property, and you are there, right?

“Disney recently opened a pedestrian walkway, and that’s exciting because we’re even closer to the destination. Guests will be really close to 10,000 restaurant seats and more than 150 shops in Disney Springs™ once it is all completed.”

Please tell us about some of the amenities available to guests at your Wyndham property.

“We provide complimentary ground transportation to the four major theme parks at Walt Disney World. We are also pleased to offer a Disney character breakfast in our Lakeview restaurant every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning from 7:30-10:30, featuring two of favorite Disney characters, Goofy and Donald. They do a great show for. So bring your cameras and smart phones to capture those great moments.”

“We also feature what is widely considered the nicest pool on the block, and even offer a kids’ pool that is a zero grade so you can just walk right into the water. We have a waterfall so you can sit out there and bask in the beautiful Central Florida sunlight.

“At the pool, we offer the Oasis Bar & Grill, and in the hotel, we have the Eclipse Lobby Lounge for beverages, and 24/7 food and beverage quick service at our Sundial Café. Our resort also provides guests a state-of-the-art fitness center, along with tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts.”

Would you please elaborate on the redesign of the Skyview Tower rooms and your meeting space?

“The rooms are really incredible with a lake house look and feel in the tower. Guests say they really like the natural setting – custom lighting, plush seating, pillow top bedding, modern bathroom fixtures and so much more.

“The upscale 19-story tower has 232 rooms, offering king or double-queen bedding and seven parlor suites – with many great views of the lake. Guests love the view of Disney Springs™ and at night, they can see the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot®.

“Corporate travelers, groups and associations are certain to make full use of the 25,000 square feet of meeting space, the 12,000-square-foot ballroom and 21 function rooms.”

What does the introduction of the Wyndham Garden Hotel mean for your guests?

“We also recognize that many of the families who visit Central Florida are value-minded, seeking more affordable accommodations. That’s precisely why we now offer the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista featuring 394 rooms at a lower price per night than the upscale option in our tower. So those staying at the Wyndham Garden arrive knowing that they’ve paid considerably less for an exterior room that is not located in the tower itself, but they still can enjoy most all the amenities offered to guests who opted for the more upscale rooms.”

And what are some of the amenities common to both properties?

“The fitness center immediately comes to mind, and our pools, sports activities, resort restaurants, ground transportation to the four theme parks, and parking your car for just $8 a day. That’s a real bargain in this region. Both of our Wyndham hotels are really close by to golf too – less than a mile away from Disney’s Lake Buena Visita Golf Club. They even let me play out there every once in a while – I’m not the greatest golfer. They say a lot of people go out there to try to find all the balls that I lose and that’s quite a few.”
